UK afro supergroup Afriquoi are very excited to be playing their first headline show at the all-new Jazz Cafe, celebrating the launch of the Abobo Nation - Part 1.
The Abobo Nation EP will be released on 17 June on Wormfood Records, featuring an array of awesome guest vocalists on top of Afriquoi's trademark afro-electronic sound. Don't miss this chance to see the band live in London for their first full headline show at this newly refurbished, iconic London venue.
2015 was a huge year for Afriquoi, bringing the party to Queen Elizabeth Hall at London's Southbank Centre for the launch of their long-anticipated debut Kolaba album. 2016 looks even better, with 2 new EPs and a summer of shows at festivals across Europe including WOMAD, Boomtown, Fusion Festival, Farr Festival and many more.
Plus support from the mighty Brand New Wayo, bringing upfront music from new artists alongside classic and obscure records from decades past, Brand New Wayo will take you on a magic carpet ride. Covering breadth in depth, from Dub to Jazz to Hip Hop via UKG, Afrobeat, Disco and the cosmos.
Afriquoi will be performing live at the early concert which has a curfew of 22:30. They will not be playing at the club show thereafter.
