Night Thing presents the world’s most heavyweight selectors, big and small, alongside our esteemed crate digging residents every Friday night at the Jazz Cafe.
Championing the best sounds from all over the world, this is a feast for all music lovers.
This week, one of the UK’s foremost proponents of world music Auntie Flo takes to the reins. Through his own label Highlife as well as releases on Autonomous Africa and Huntleys & Palmers, he always seeks to push the envelope with his percussive, tribal productions, something that is also mirrored in his genre hopping DJ sets.
Joining him is south Londoner Andrew Ashong, who shares a similar aesthetic and approach to DJ’ing, and whose soulful productions have found a home on Theo Parrish’s legendary Sound Signature imprint.
