Our famed Cuban night returns!
A night dedicated to the very best in Cuban music, we’re delighted to present a double headline bill with Son Con Swing and The Sugar Kings Trio.
Son is the name for traditional Cuban music made famous by the Buena Vista Social Club, and was the precursor of Salsa music. Son Con Swing (Son with Swing) consists of the newest generation of Cuban musicians who have taken their love of traditional Son music and added a modern vibe. The band brings you the best Salsa, Son, Cha Cha Cha, Bolero, Rumba rhythms and more for a lively and fun evening of entertainment.
Established in 2006, The Sugar Kings specialise in Cuban Charanga, Salsa, Son, Bolero, Cha Cha Cha, Mambo and afro-Cuban jazz. Band leader Flavio Correa is a Cuban percussionist and singer who grew up in Centro Havana in a neighbourhood surrounded by Cuban musicians like Joseito Fernandez and Lazaro Herrera trumpet player with Septeto Nacional, and currently plays with internationally renowned violinist, Omar Puente.
