Bank Holiday Friday: Sounds of Chicago with Paul Johnson [Venue Closed]

Friday 8th May

Following the latest information and advice from Public Health England we will not be open at this time and will be rescheduling this event. Please be patient while we confirm the new date for which your tickets will remain valid.

“Jack boldly declared, let there be house – and house music was born!” – join us as we explore the history of house music at Jazz Cafe on May bank holiday Friday with Paul Johnson.

Put simply, Johnson is one of house music’s most iconic artists. From Cajual and Relief to Dance Mania and Peacefrog record labels, Johnson’s music has consistently defined Chicago’s house movement, from soundtracking the early years of Frankie Knucles and Ron Hardy, all the way through to today. You can see why Daft Punk named him as their biggest influence in their track “Teachers”…

Expect disco rarities, ghetto shakers and Chicago house treasures – all night long.

Perfect for groups of 15 to 150, our mezzanine level is all about exclusivity and intimacy. To reserve an area for drinks, click ‘party bookings’ and submit an enquiry.
