The first Black British soul artist to perform at the Soul Train Awards, Junior led the way for the future R&B/soul movement with his timeless hit “Mama Used to Say”. One of the few British soul artists to have gained A-list status in America, his track “Do You Want My Love” was featured on the soundtrack for Eddie Murphy’s blockbuster movie Beverly Hills Cop, earning him a Grammy Award in the process.
