Once you hear “Bang bang billy beng beng bang ding dilly bidi bong bong didi dong dong”. It can only mean, Eek! There’s a mouse in the house!

From the humble beginnings of producing cultural root music with his Maths teacher during college, the reggae dancehall star has been known for his unique and infectious sound. Pioneering the Singjay movement, his smash hit in the 1980’s ‘Wah Do Dem’ wouldn’t be the last wheel up Eek-A- Mouse got. His rejection of traditional composition was nothing short of an adventure to listeners.

His broad taste in blues, rock, jazz, and reggae can be traced back to his earliest songs, incorporating scat like improvisations. Surprisingly, or not, Eek’s international audience was found amongst the rock crowd. Working with producers Anthony and Ronald Welch, for whom he recorded the Assassinator album, which was his U.S. debut. The Grammy-nominated artists started to develop and continue with rock and reggae in the late 1990s.
