London’s prodigy jazz band, Waaju, joins forces with masterful Moroccan musician, Majid Bekkas, to perform “a majestic spiritual jazz masterpiece” (Songlines Magazine).

They present a unique approach to the Moroccan trance music ‘Gnawa’, fronted by one of the most powerful African voices of today.

Majid Bekkas has been a key figure in the last decade’s revival of Gnawa music and is one of the foremost figures in the genre, having collaborated with Pharoah Sanders, Archie Shepp and Peter Brotzmann. Waaju’s records have been championed internationally by the likes of Jordan Rakei, Gilles Peterson, Jungle & Jazz FM.

They bring their hard-hitting grooves, heavy psychedelia and otherwordly live show to London.
