Damo Suzuki + Parliaments

Damo Suzuki + Parliaments
Thursday 11th January 19:00-23:00

Krautrock legend Damo Suzuki is probably best known for his work as the lead singer for German group Can.

Since going their separate ways, Suzuki has gone on to perform solo and with fellow musicians whom he refers to as ‘sound carriers’. The shows are a demonstration of improvisation in its purest form, with Suzuki choosing to not rehearse at all beforehand and instead feed off the other sound carriers’ energy on stage.

Following two sold out Moth Club shows in 2017, Suzuki brings his unique force to the Jazz Cafe for the very first time in January, alongside Jazz FM award winner Orphy Robinson for a night of pure improvisation.
