Classic Album Sundays and Jazz Café’s fledgling series, Kind Of New, continues in March with the exploration of Miles Davis’ cosmic masterpiece Bitches Brew.

Jake Long, bandleader of London-based jazz ensemble Maisha and sideman in Joe Armon Jones and Maxwell Owin’s Idiom project, leads the rendition of Davis’ classic 1970 spiritual work Bitches Brew. A colossal record spanning over 90 minutes of music, the record showcased Davis at the peak of his creative powers, as well as opening the gate for the inception of the jazz rock genre.
