Buffalo native Armani Caesar is the “first lady” of the Griselda roster—but she’s no newcomer to the game. Making music for over a decade, she aligns perfectly with the label’s ethos as a hub for rap veterans who have worked relentlessly but have, until recently, slipped under the radar.

Her second Pitchfork-lauded project, The Liz 2, follows suit from her last Elizabeth Taylor centred work, exploring the hard work and hustle behind the composed face of glamour, making reference to everyone from Diana Ross to Paula Deen. 

Infused with moody and restrained East Coast stylings and a more flashy, contemporary edge, Caesar is a force to be reckoned with.
