Austrian artist Manu Delago’s music explores a vast array of sounds. With sweet and delicate vocal lines alongside soft textures from his Hang and colourful electronica, it all makes for a triumphantly innovative and texturally rich sound.
The live show of the Tru Thoughs artist is a definite must-see; it’s a delicate and sophisticated performance, moving between heavily rhythmic and free-flowing syncopations.
Having already collaborated with Björk, The Cinematic Orchestra, Anoushka Shankar, Andreya Triana and the London Symphony Orchestra, this is a rare chance to catch the idiosyncratic artist in the intimate surrounds of the Jazz Cafe.
Joining him will be Erased Tapes vibraphone virtuoso Masayoshi Fujita. With a new album being released on the label in June, we can expect plenty of exciting new music in his performance.
