Rhythm Section presents a spring shakedown featuring one of the finest line-ups of the year, with 4 breakout artists who blur the lines between electronic, jazz and indie influenced dance sounds.
American psychedelic husband and wife duo Peaking Lights have gone from strength to strength over the past few years, converting a string of hit tracks including ‘All The Sunshines’ and ‘Conga Blue’ into an full length album with dance music’s most notorious collective, Dekmantel. Their live show combines drum machines, vocals and synthesisers to create their own unique brand of cosmic music, taking inspiration from krautrock, synth-pop and disco.
On the other hand, Pellegrino & Zodyaco bring an Italian touch to the show. The Neapolitan collective have been turning heads with their fusion of contemporary melodic disco and jazz, straight from the slopes of Vesuvius. This sound is perfectly captured by their fantastic debut album, “Zodyaco”. Inspired by ancient mythology of the stars and their influence on the sea life, the record is the result of a series of all night long jams, influenced by Italian jazz-funk, exotic fusion and Mediterranean mysticism – “a tribute to the stars and their reflections on the sea”.
Fresh from their monumental debut album on Rhythm Section Records, The Colours That Rise widely regarded as one of the brightest new talents in the London future jazz scene, thanks in part to their stunning EP ‘2020’ on Breaker Breaker, plus their production support on records from the likes of Henry Wu and FYI Chris.
Our doors open at 7PM – see you there.
