The pioneering live band, founded in 1993 by Ali Friend (double bass), Richard Thair (drums) and David Ayers (guitar), have been around the block a few times and yet they still manage to surprise and thrill every single time.
The ground-breaking acid jazz trio were notable for their pioneering synthesis of acoustic and electronic textures. Often joined by guest musicians and vocalists, they released a series of albums on WARP Records and by the turn of the century had already collaborated with The Prodigy, David Holmes, Björk and The Fugees.
More recently, they joined the Lo Recordings family starting out with Red Snapper and a subsequent remix album Redone. Further releases followed, including A Pale Blue Dot, Chris Smith and Mambety EP, and their latest EP TRUTH 1 was released in the latter half of 2020 and is a continuation of their never-ending search for new musical territory.
